Nature and Climate Risks Shaping Investment Decisions

In partnership with Swiss Sustainable Finance and in association with Building Bridges, the Swiss Finance Institute is hosting the sixth edition of its renowned conference on current sustainable finance issues. This year's theme is "Nature and Climate Risks Shaping Investment Decisions". The conference will be held in Zurich on Thursday, 24 September 2026.

Nature and climate considerations are increasingly influencing the way finance assesses risk, values assets, and allocates capital. From biodiversity loss and physical climate risks to carbon markets, real estate valuations, and financing decisions, environmental factors are becoming increasingly relevant across a growing range of sectors and asset classes. At the same time, investors, lenders, corporations, and policymakers face important questions regarding the measurement of these risks, their implications for decision-making, and the financing of the transition to more resilient economic systems.

Bringing together leading academics and industry practitioners, this conference will explore how nature and climate considerations are reshaping finance and investment. Through discussions on nature finance, carbon emissions, real estate, and investment strategies, participants will gain insights into emerging challenges, evolving valuation frameworks, and financing solutions that are likely to play an increasingly important role in the years ahead.
