Cancellation: The SFI–Capco Institute Banking & Finance Forum 2020 will not take place on 26 March 2020!

 

Sadly, due to the advent of the coronavirus, and its implications on the health and safety of our guests, we have had to make the decision to cancel the event. As you can appreciate, the health and well-being of our speakers and guests is of paramount importance for us. We hope to be able to reorganize the conference at a more appropriate time, when we can ensure the safety of our guests, but until that time we hope that you understand that this was a decision we had to make. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Green finance is often accused of being just a sophisticated form of "green washing". Recent empirical studies, however, show that green bonds contribute to improving the environmental performance of issuing firms and at the same time provide positive excess returns to shareholders. Green finance has a “signaling” role that explains this win-win configuration.
