Current Situation

Besides technology, sustainability has emerged as one of the most profound societal trends of our time. The finance and insurance sectors have not been isolated from this development and many institutions are now trying to account for sustainability in their decision making. At the heart of this effort is the idea of incorporating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into investment decisions.

Objective

Building on industry practice and recent academic insights, this Master Class will provide a high-level overview of the fundamental principles of ESG investing in liquid asset classes, such as listed equities and corporate bonds. The Master Class will discuss currently available data and implementation approaches and discuss both opportunities and shortcomings of current practice.
