SFI Master Classes

Financial and other professionals are discovering that career success does not depend on technical skills or on traditional soft skills alone. With more being expected of companies by regulators and by other stakeholders, employees and managers are facing the need to become more proficient in those grey areas for which a legal- or "rules-based" answer alone does not suffice.  

This Master Class is designed to acquaint participants with what is new in our understanding of soft factors such as values, norms, and ethics, and to help them apply this learning on the job.

• What helps or hurts when dealing with ethical tensions in business transactions or in managing the workplace? 
• In which areas specifically are such tensions manifesting themselves today?
• If ethics and values are essential, how can one more effectively integrate them into culture-building efforts at the team or company level? 
• As an individual, should one be an influencer or a follower in this area? 
• What does all of the above have to do with the pressing area of sustainability or ESG matters? 
   

This interactive Master Class uses scenarios and cases studies to tackle these questions and help the participant enhance his or her own decision-making skills and abilities.  

Discussion oriented, this program is followed by a networking aperitif.

This Master Class is aimed at professionals at all levels who wish to be more effective as team members and as leaders and who would like to deepen their understanding of why competencies in the above areas are becoming increasingly valuable for managing companies and one's own career.
