SFI strives for a top-ranking position among the research institutes in finance of Europe. The SFI Faculty’s research is recognized internationally due to the significant number of publications in top academic journals, i.e., those journals that historically have been first in promoting the ideas that have changed financial practices. SFI researchers have their research published or accepted for future publication in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial Economics, the American Economic Review, Econometrica and other high level journals.
Academic excellence is guaranteed by the SFI scientific council, an independent committee composed of internationally-renowned professors of banking and finance from around the world. The committee advises the SFI Foundation Board on all matters where scientific criteria predominate and plays a crucial role in guaranteeing the respect of academic freedom and scientific integrity.
SFI has a working paper series called the SFI Research Paper Series to disseminate original theoretical or empirical research with relevance to banking and finance. The series includes research contributions carried out at SFI by faculty, PhD students and affiliated researchers.Paper submissions should be sent to RPS@sfi.ch and must include the paper, a short abstract, keywords, JEL classification, and the author's affiliation.
