The Swiss Finance Institute PhD in Finance is one of the largest and most competitive programs in the world.

The program promotes the pursuit of academic excellence providing an intellectual environment and a curriculum comparable with the top PhD programs in Europe and North America. The PhD program operates at the three Swiss Finance Institute campuses in Léman (Geneva/Lausanne), Lugano and Zurich in collaboration with the Universities of Geneva, Lausanne, Lugano, and Zurich, and the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).

“The SFI PhD program is a vibrant intellectual environment. The curriculum of courses provides students with analytical tools and vast knowledge of established theories and recent advancement in the broad field of finance. The internationally renowned faculty members teach the core courses and provide students with continual support and advice. Furthermore, students have direct exposure to ideas and work of researchers from other institutions through seminars, workshops, or summer schools. This supportive and stimulating working environment fosters the development of skills and curiosity needed to conduct rigorous research. After graduation, I still benefit from the SFI academic excellence by being part of a community of researchers which is actively engaged in research and constantly presents at major conferences.”
