Digital Pulse Check 4.0
Following an initial report in 2019, the Swiss Finance Institute (SFI), along with the renowned strategy and management consultancy zeb, is pleased to present the second edition of its study on the state of digital transformation in the banking sector. Decision-makers from some 40 banks in Switzerland and Liechtenstein provided comprehensive information on the topic. The insights gained are compared with the results of more than 100 banks from other European countries. The Digital Pulse Check thus allows for a comprehensive, cross-national assessment of how the digital transformation of banks is progressing, what the biggest challenges are, and which business model innovations banks want to actively address by 2023.
In addition to the level of digital maturity, the study focuses more deeply on two specific topics. The sections on "Asset Tokenization" and "Advanced Analytics for Financial Crime Prevention" combine insights from both SFI faculty and zeb experts on relevant dimensions of digitization that go beyond the customer interface.
